Pedigree Traditional German landrace variety selected and grown in the area of the same name.
Maturity Medium - early
Yield 1200 - 1600 kg./ha. or 1000 - 1400 lb./ac.
Growth Habit Vigorous with long laterals but not prolific cone producer.
Disease Reaction Field resistance to German strains of Verticillium wilt and some tolerance to downy mildew.
Pickability Fair to good but light cones
Drying/Baling No problems
Cone Structure Smallish but fairly tight cone
