Whole Hops

Whole Hops

Leaf Hops are the dried and pressed natural inflorescences of the female hop plant. During harvest, on the farm, these inflorescences or "cones" are removed from the plants, dried and pressed into bales. They are supplied to brewers as whole or part bales ready for immediate use. more info

T90 and T45 Hop Powder Pellets

T90 and T45 Hop Powder Pellets

T-90 hop pellets are prepared from leaf hops which have been hammer-milled into a powder and the powder subsequently pelletized by passing through a conventional pellet die. They contain all the vegetative and lupulin material of raw leaf hops and can be used as a full replacement for leaf hops in the brewing process.

T-45 hop pellets are similarly prepared except that after milling at a very low temperature (which removes the stickiness of the lupulin) the powder is sieved and a portion of the vegetative material removed. T-45 pellets are also a full replacement for leaf hops in the brewing process. more info

Tetrahop 10%

Tetrahop 10%

Tetrahop is a clear, pale yellow aqueous solution of the potassium salts of hop-derived tetrahydroiso-alpha-acids. Tetrahop is derived from a pure resin CO2 extract of hops and is standardized at 10% w/v by UV Spectro analysis. more info

Ishop CO2N

Ishop CO2N

Isohop CO2N is an aqueous solution of potassium salts of isomerized alpha acids that have been separated in a pure state from a liquid CO2 hop extract. It is intended for post-fermentation addition to beer to provide tight control of bitterness. It provides a means to control accuracy and consistency of beer bitterness, whilst at the same time reducing costs. ISOHOPCO2N is devoid of hop essential oils and hence contributes no aroma or flavors other than bitterness. more info

CO2 Extract

CO2 Extract

CO2 Hop Extract is a pure resin extract of hops containing hop oils, beta acids and alpha acids. The extraction process concentrates the soft resin portion of hops to deliver clean bitterness and hop aroma. Extraction parameters are defined to best protect aroma, flavor, and bittering characteristics. The Extract is virtually free of Nitrates. Fresh hop aroma and flavor characteristics will not change after extended periods of storage. more info

Variety Specific Oils

Variety Specific Oils

Blended or generic hop oils are a mixture of whole hop oils separated from liquid CO2 extracts by vacuum distillation. They are suitable for use either on a pre- or post-fermentation basis to provide consistent late hop or dry hop character to beer. Hop Oil No. 1 is a consistent blend of English Wye Target and other varietal oils. Hop Oil HAL is a similar blend but with rather less flavor impact. It is, therefore, a rather less costly source of whole hop oil but provides a good foundation for the expression of other hop characteristics in beer. Varietal Hop Oils are whole unblended oils prepared from specific single hop varieties. more info

Hop Aroma Tabs

Hop Aroma Tabs

HopAroma Tabs are made of hop oils isolated from CO2 Hop Extract that are compounded with effervescing agents. The mild isolation procedure preserves the essential hop oil compounds that contribute to a complex hoppy character. Unlike many conventional hop oil products employed to enhance hop character, the tablet formulation is stable, relatively inexpensive, and easy to handle and dose. The density of the tablets allow the oil product to be delivered deep into the kettle/fermenter/ bright beer tank where micro-bubble dispersion of the hop oils promote the maximum absorption of flavor and aroma components into the brew. The interface between the tablet hop oils and wort/beer is several orders of magnitude higher than that of conventional hop oil products. more info
