COMPOSITION
Relative to hop powder pellets: - most of the alpha acids are converted to the equivalent magnesium iso-alpha form. - presence of magnesium and magnesium oxide - slight reduction in beta acids content
ADVANTAGES
Relative to hop powder pellets: - reduced requirement for cold storage - increased utilization of alpha acids (55 - 60%) DISADVANTAGES
Relative to hop powder pellets: - undetermined effects on hop flavor and aroma in beer - a "chemically processed" product
